Sopron, 27 June 1989. the Hungarian (Horn Gyula) and Austrian (Alois Mock) Foreign Ministers cut symbolically  the iron curtain.

The Iron Curtain touring path has been created based on the Wall Tour of Berlin, as an initiative of the European Parliament. It has been established along the iron curtain, which separated once the East from the West, from the Black Sea to the Baltic Sea. A part of this is crossing Sopron.

• 26 June, Saturday: Iron Curtain Tour and picnic to Pan-European Picnic Memorial Place (6,5 km-20,5 km, bus transfer, refreshers, lunch)
• Fantastic program and festival on the main square of Sopron (5 minutes walking): the nights of the Kékfrankos red wine, where you may taste and enjoy the local favours
• 27 June, Sunday: IX. Lővér tour – international IVV tour (6-17 km, Sopron Mountain)
